It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Wow!  It's been a while since a blog post!  November is a pretty low key month with lots of assessment, report cards and interviews.  December is proving to be very different, with lots of exciting things already planned!  Here are a few updates you need to be aware of:

MMH SCHOOL NEWSLETTER
Please take the time to read this months' MMH newsletter by CLICKING HERE.  There are important details regarding the Christmas Gala next Thursday evening.  Please also note hot lunch dates (deadline to order is tomorrow) and carolling times if you wish to join us.
You should have received a red letter today with other details and a map of the Gala.  Unfortunately I found one on the floor of the closet, so if you didn't get yours please let me know and I'll be sure to send it home.

IMPORTANT DATE FOR OUR CLASS:
We are going to have our class Christmas party on Thursday, December 22.  Grade One students are welcome to wear their PJs to school that day if they wish and are asked to bring along a stuffy that they could rest their head on while watching a Christmas video.
Students are welcome to "Dress Like Christmas" on Friday, December 23.

Students signed up to bring snacks for the afternoon of December 22 are:
Cheese and Crackers:  Hannah
Fruit Tray: Gabe
Veggies and Dip: Jackson B
Cookies or Muffins:  Emmy
Meat and Pickles:  Kruz
Napkins and Plates: Sylvie

Homemade Christmas Card Exchange
This is BY FAR my favourite project of the year.  I can't emphasize enough how special it is to watch this project all unfold when the day comes.  Please keep your eyes peeled for an envelope and instructions coming home soon.  In lieu of gifts for each other, each student will be making one Christmas card for a SECRET member of our class.  We will then exchange these cards and watch each other open them.

Leaving Early for Christmas
If your child will not be attending school right up until December 23 please let me know as soon as possible.  I want to ensure gifts and special things get sent home if this is the case.  Thanks so much!
